DP Music Certification- Cat 2:                                                                                                                                                  February 2021

         This online DP certification course helps review aspects of assessments to ensure that teaching and learning activities promote student achievement and address assessment criteria, integrate the IB philosophy, TOK and CAS to promote student understanding, and how collaborative planning can increase connections between subjects to reinforce knowledge, understanding and skills.

MYP Arts Certification- Cat 2:                                                                                                                                               November  2019

         This online MYP certification course helps refine and continue to develop a collaborative and collegial approach to the structures and principles of the Arts aims and objectives, deepen understanding and capabilities for delivering the Arts through concepts, context, and approaches to learning skills, and evaluate, strengthen, and design new tasks that will support the implementation of Arts expectations.

Critical Friends Group Institute:                                                                                                                       September 10th-11th  2016

         This weekend's institute comprised of a group of the faculty from SSIS getting together to be trained in using Critical Friends in our various classrooms. The purpose of critical friends is to find a group of colleagues who can come together at least once a month and improve their practice through collaborative learning by creating a professional learning community amongst themselves.
